OMS 7th Grade Girls Basketball team fought hard tonight but fell short to El Paso Gridley with a final score of 21-19. Despite the loss, these girls displayed incredible growth, tenacity, and heart throughout the season. Their commitment to individual improvement, as well as their development as a team, signals a promising future. Congratulations on a great season Lady Spartans.

OMS 7th Grade GBB picks up a big win over Peru Parkside tonight. They advance to the Regional Championship, where they will take on El Paso Gridley. Come out to support your Lady Spartans.

The MS Boys Basketball team defended home court tonight against Normal Chiddix. The 7th grade team won a hard fought battle 42-28 with Will Langley, Cade Yoder, and Easton Boudeman leading the way offensively. The 8th grade team lost a battle in OT 42-36 with Ty Gale, Kam White, Mason Kruger, and Coty Thompson leading the offense tonight. The Girl's Basketball team came up short in the season opener vs Clinton at the Clinton Turkey Tussle. The Spartans take on Dee Mack @5:00PM on Wednesday at Clinton High School.

OMS 7th Grade Girls Basketball wins their first round of Regionals. They defeat DeeMack 27-14. They will play Tuesday, November 19th at 6:15 vs Peru Parkside in El Paso.

The OMS Boys Basketball team traveled down to Auburn today for a doubleheader against Auburn and North Mac. The 7th grade started the day against Auburn winning a tight one 50-45 with Tate Lindsey, Easton Boudeman, and Hudson Steinkamp leading the way scoring wise. Their second game was against North Mac and they won 42-28 with Easton Boudeman, Hudson Steinkamp and Tate Lindsey leading the scoring effort. The 8th grade started their day against Auburn winning 56-31 with Mason Kruger (7 3 pointers!), Ty Gale and Kam White as the leading scorers. Their next game against North Mac they won 35-22 with Coty Thompson, Kam White, and Ty Gale leading their team in scoring. Overall Records- 7th Grade: 6-1 8th grade: 6-1

The Olympia Middle School Boys basketball team defended home court tonight against Washington MS. The 7th grade team won their game 55-23 with Will Langley, Cade Yoder and Easton Boudeman leading the scoring. The 8th grade team won their game 53-30 with Mason Kruger, Kam White and Ty Gale leading the scoring. The boys are back in action Saturday at Auburn MS with a double header against Auburn and North Mac. Overall Records- 7th Grade: 4-1 8th Grade: 4-1

Winter Spartan Night is Friday Nov. 15th at 5:30pm in the high school gym. Come out and meet our winter activity participants. Girls and Boys Basketball, Wrestling, Cheerleading, Dance, Pep Band, and Speech. There will be basketball scrimmages and wrestling exhibitions.

The Olympia Middle School Boys Basketball team battled last night in their first home game of the season against Normal Kingsly. The 7th grade team won 40-30. The 8th grade team lost 39-35. OMS 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team finished out their final game at home with a 46-13 win over Tremont. Bringing their record to 11-4. 7th grade won as well to bring their record to 9-6. Two more regular season games, then 7th plays their first post season game against DeeMack on Saturday at 12:30 in El Paso.

Congratulations to the Girls Swim Team for placing 7th out of 16 teams at the Sectional Meet at Normal West on Saturday! The meet started with an outstanding race in the 200 Medley Relay! The relay team made up of Sophia Thomas, Nora Collins, Lola Finfrock and Abbie Hoeft not only took 3rd place, but set a new SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 2:00.53! The Olympia Boys MS Basketball Team competed today in their final games of the Eureka MS Tip Off tournament against Eureka. The 7th grade team lost today 50-26 going 2-1 in the tournament. The 8th grade team pulled out a massive victory 49-17 winning the tournament going 3-0. Congratulations to both teams for hard fought games! Overall records: 7th Grade 2-1 8th Grade 3-0

Schools from across the state gathered at Detweiller Park to compete against each other in one final race of the cross country season. The park was filled with teams and fans all supporting the 255 girls who ran in the Class 1A State race. Olympia's Emma Swartzendruber and Amelia Kistner had a remarkable finish for their last race of their senior year. Emma placed 40th overall with a time of 18:28. Amelia placed 88th with a time of 19:10. A special thank you to Officer Zehr and Chief Parkinson for the early morning police escort as the team bus traveled to the competition and to Darrel Dubree for the amazing photos.

The Olympia MS Boys Basketball team opened up their season tonight at the Eureka Middle School Tip Off Tournament competing against Peoria Christian. The 7th grade team won 48 - 29 and the 8th grade team won 50 - 20. The boys are back at it again Thursday against DeeMack at Eureka. 7th grade 1-0 8th grade 1-0

It's a Great Day to be a Spartan! The girls cross country team and CJ Moore traveled to Elmwood to compete in the Class 1A Sectional. Cross country is a unique sport where you can compete as a team and also as an individual. Emma Swartzendruber and Amelia Kistner qualified as individuals and will be advancing to the State meet at Detweiller Park on November 9. Overall, the girls team placed 9th thus ending their season. All athletes ran an outstanding race and achieved several PRs and Season Best times. Team results are as follows: 10. Emma Swartzendruber - 18:26 - Top 10 Medalist and state qualifier 22.
